The Peace Region Alberta Dressage Association (PRADA) is a group of dressage riders and advocates in the Peace region of Alberta. The group was developed to promote the art and the sport of dressage in the area. We aim to achieve this by increasing access to quality dressage clinicians and recognized dressage shows by overcoming the challenges of long distance travelling and available coaching.
In our first year, 2011, we partnered in hosting two successful Bronze level dressage shows – the Cygnet Dressage Show in Grande Prairie and the Wildwind Dressage Festival in St. Isidore, AB. 2012 and 2013 saw these two shows continue as well as the addition of the Bronze level Valleyview Dressage Show hosted by the Valleyview and Districts Agricultural Society and a Bronze level Peace River Show hosted by the Peace River Agricultural Society. The PRADA network has also helped to promote and fill a number of clinics with notable coaches around the region. We are pleased to announce the return of a Wildrose Show featuring Both Dressage and Western Dressage to Grande Prairie, AB in 2023!
At present, PRADA continues to support local dressage by hosting a Wildrose show promoting dressage and Western Dressage. We continue providing educational opportunities for members and local participants by hosting clinicians such as Lindsey Stroh and Eiren Crawford
Another serious goal of our hard work and dedication is meeting new friends and having fun. We have determined that no one person can do this job alone.
